Another W for Elias

This weekend Elias had his first Crit race. A Crit race is where you do laps on a course for a certain amount of time. His race was 30 min and there were about 50 people in his heat! 

Saturday during the race it was POURING the entire time!! Thankfully my in laws came to watch and brought me an umbrella. 

Elias started in the middle of the pack and stayed there for the first 3 laps, which is where he usually likes to sit in his races, so It was going good! Then the 4th lap he started moving to the front of the pack! But then the 2nd to last lap he was at the back of the pack and I was freaking out my heart started pounding and I was like "what the heck is happening??" 

Next lap we see him coming up the last hill and he is in the very front of the pack, once again I was dreaming out. (Keep in mind these guys were going fast like 24.5 miles an hour so we timed it and the laps were only taking 4 minutes) 

So the last lap happens and we see Elias TAKE OFF up the last hill! I've never seen someone go so fast on a bike! And he finished 1st!! About 2 1/2 bikes ahead of the next guy :D 

I tried to get the a video of the finish but I was freaking out so bad that in the vid you can just hear me screaming and the camera is shaking like crazy ha ha!

I love my little racer!!
