Valentines day :)

Valentines Day is definitely one of my favorite holidays! I absolutely love all of the hearts decorations, candy, cards and just the celebration of love!

This morning I woke up to a few gifts from my sweetheart, including a bamboo clothes drying rack and am emailing confirming that he booked a cruise for us! I am so so excited, neither of us has ever been on a cruise so this will be an amazing adventure :)

Also I have been talking about getting a manicure forever to make my dry and cracked hands moisturized and beautifully polished! So Elias demanded me to go to the salon since I only worked a half day. I invited my friend/coworker to go along work me and we both ended up getting shellac, but we chose totally opposite colors!
I was feeling extra girly so I went with the pink and gold :)

Next on the agenda was putting together Elias's gift.  I think men are SO hard to shop for so this year took some extra thinking! But I ended up choosing to do little gifts for each sense (sight, smell, taste, sound, and touch) it was fairly inexpensive and it covered bases!
Went wrapping gifts for any occasion I ALWAYS stop at target first they are my all time favorites for pretty much everything, but particularly inexpensive and cute gift packaging! I love how this bag's handle is a heart, but it's still not too girlie.

One thing I changed this year is the v-day card. I usually go to the craft store and find some cute (usually expensive) scrapbook paper and spend tons of time making a homemade card. But when I thought about it this year I decided that everytime I've done that it hasn't been because Elias loves.. It has been for my own satisfaction! And I usually go too over the top and get stressed out wondering of Elias likes it.

So this year I got a store bought card, again from target. But instead of going to the valentines section where they have prewritten cards I went to the section where they have the blank insides and way better designs on the outside. I adored it and Elias loved what I wrote so it worked out perfectly :)
Here is our table currently.. Although it's a mess I love seeing all this random valentine stuff!

So not only did Elias get me the two wonderful presents in the morning.. But when I was getting ready for dinner he comes into the bathroom and hands me this
What girl doesn't get excited about jewelry!?! I open them up and they are two sets of beautiful earrings
And he did an amazing job because they match my necklace that I got a few weeks ago :)
Yay!!!!!

So to top off an already amazing day Elias and I went to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Rodizio Grill! It is the best Brazilian food you can find in the great state of utah!

On our way to the restaurant I dedicated a song to Elias, it was "how long will I love you?" By Ellie Goulding (his celeb crush) he said it was very cute and sweet. Then he played me "life's a dance" by John Michael Montgomery and we jammed out to it!! Ha ha

Dinner was perfect, tons of salads, pasta, rice, beans pineapple, pão de queijo, guaraná, Brazilian limeade, and MEAT MEAT MEAT also to top it off we both got some flan :)

He was extra full

I was extra full and happy!

After dinner we wanted to walk off our good babies so we looked around American apparel (saw the CUTEST baby/toddler clothes) then went over to Trader Joes to pick up a few things and I saw some cute and festive lemonade
Which led me to find an even better find...

I guess Elias and his family were obsessed with this drink when they were in Tahiti visiting their grandparents who were serving as temple presidents there years ago! Elias was freaking out because he has never seen it in the states before, so of course we had to buy some. And Elias told me he is going to take a bottle over to his sweet grandma's house tomorrow while he's on his bike ride!

All in all it was a perfect day! And I am SO happy I got to share it with my amazing husband.

I love you Elias John Green
