January 2014 GRAND TARGHEE!

I can't believe how fast this trip came up! Every year my husband's side of the family goes up to Grand Targhee for a ski trip and this was my second time going. It was just as fun if not more fun this year than the last! This year I was more comfortable with skiing and I was more familiar with the resort. 

Last year I made this sticky chex mix and it was a BIG hit! So this year I decided to make it a tradition and I tripled the recipe and here it is :) mmmm I could eat this EVERDAY!

Also this year we had the privilege of taking our nephew Will and Elias' brother graham! Here is Will getting pumped for the trip 

Basically this trip consists of skiing, eating, hot tubbing, sleeping and more skiing

Our second night at Targhee Elias and I wanted to get away from the family for a minute so Elias researched some things for us to do and he saw that a band was playing at the bar that is right at the resort (roughly 20 yards from our room) they were a really great band from SLC that played some cool oldies with a reggae twist! 

On Sunday we all went to the local ward in Driggs Idaho the stopped by the local ice sculpture exhibit and I actually really liked it! The people who made them are super talented! 

On our way back to the resort there was an amazing view of the Tetons, if you haven't been there before you need to go!

Sunday afternoon a few of us wanted to get our of our rooms so me, Elias, Creighton, Summer and cousin Charlie went on a walk/hike and Charlie brought a snow skate so the boys tested that out

Then just being a creep ha ha!

Since I just got a new iPhone and haven't broken it yet.. I didn't want to take it skiing with me! So I'll have to get pics from Elias and post them :) because the mountain is beyond beautiful!

On Tuesday we were on the road again, getting on the freeway we saw this weird farm truck

(Only in Idaho! Ha ha)

And this trip definitely went out with a bang! Right after we crossed the Utah boarder Graham was starting to feel sick so I pulled into the closest gas station he went and did his business, then when we pulled back onto the freeway I looked back and saw Will throwing up.. A LOT a pulled a U turn on the freeway entrance and b lined it back to the gas station where Elias and I did our very best to get things cleaned up!

After lots of Lysol wipes, bagging dirty clothes, shoes, iPad case, backpack, a horrible jasmine air freshener and a few more pitstops we all made it home!
