Our First Anniversary September 2013

Our anniversary was everything I ever wanted :)  We first went and stayed at the Hilton City Center in SLC, dropped our stuff off and headed out to a casual dinner at Dickey's barbeque pit one our favorite places to eat!  Then we got back to the hotel, swam in the pool and relaxed in the hot tub.  It was such a fun and relaxing night!

The next morning we slept in, then got ready and walked down to the Market Street Grill just a few blocks away, there we had an AMAZING breakfast!  It was so fun just hanging out in SLC with my man :) After breakfast we packed up our room and headed up to the outlets in Park City where we browsed the outlets for hours! But like always we had our best luck shopping at the TJ Maxx in Park City where we scored big! And I got my favorite Steve Madden Purse :)  We finished up our shopping early so that we could get back to SLC and move into our room at the GRAND AMERICA!! Thee most amazing and beautiful hotel I have ever seen!

When we got to the room we opened the door to our beautiful room and Elias surprised me with having the hotel give set out a beautifully decorated cake and card saying "Happy Anniversary" it was perfect.

After we put our stuff away we walked around the Hotel where there are about a million things to do and look at!  And not to mention the most delicious chocolate chip cookies that are in the entry way that we repeatedly visited!  We also spent some time in the infinity pool and hot tub once again.  (one day we will have a hot tub of our own! I'm sure of it)

This night we went to a nicer dinner, at Tepanyaki and it was incredible.  The food was amazing and it was nice just relaxing with my husband!

After dinner we went back to The Grand and walked some of our dinner off before we went back to our room to eat our cake, drink our Martinelli's and relax in our robes :)

Our last morning of our mini vacation was one of the best mornings of my life! We woke up and went on a run through SLC!  We ran for about 45 minutes together and it felt so good to exercise to clear some room in our stomachs before the most epic breakfast of all time!  We then relaxed in our robes again had facials (yes I got elias to have a facial) and then got ready for the breakfast. The Grand America is known for it's Sunday Brunch, and now we have experienced why! Prime rib, crepes eber skivers, fruit bar, tart bar,  pastry bar, omlettes, the list goes on and on and on!  We ate more than I ever have in my whole life and it was worth every single cent!

And just to finish off our weekend of eating as much as we can when we got home we ate our year old top tier of our cake :)  The butter cream icing was pretty terrible.. but the peach cake with peach curd on the inside was delicious!

I am so incredibly grateful for my husband and for the first year that we spent together!  Elias is truly the most amazing person I have ever met!  This man has more wisdom than anyone his age and has so many qualities that I only wish will rub off on me as time goes on :) Thank you babe for making our anniversary so amazing!  I love you!!
