Rockin' around the Christmas tree

I'm not going to lie, it doesn't really feel like Christmas is just a few weeks away! There is no snow (in fact Utah had it's all time high for December this week). I am not in the mood for Christmas music and I would be lying if I said that Christmas was more exciting then our baby coming just a few weeks after! But all of that being said I am still excited for this season of course :)

2 nights ago Elias and I went to get our Christmas tree with the Froelichs again, but no we did not cut them down this year! Ha ha we ended up just going to a tree lot.  With Kylee and I both being extremely pregnant we didn't think hiking up in the mountains finding trees to cut down was the best idea.  Also going out to dinner and just picking from dozens of perfect trees just sounded good.

Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures from that night (again we're both extremely pregnant; actually Kylee could have her baby any day!)

Oh and I almost forgot. Last night I ran out for some errands and when I got home Elias told me that a neighbor from down the street that we have never met randomly came over and gave us some lower bowl seats to the Jazz game! He said his boss gave them to him but he wasn't able to use them so he gave them to Elias and told him Merry Christmas! It was so out of the blue! But right when I got home we left straight away.  It was a very fun night, although the Jazz lost.. again.

So to this morning.  We laid around a little while and then I decided I should probably get out our decorations!  It's funny how it seems like a year goes by so fast but then there are things that you forget about in that short time.  I pulled out our decorations and I had totally forgotten how cute our stuff was!

Rewind back to December 2013

Just like last year Elias and I wanted to cut down our very own Christmas tree! So this year we went to our friends Alex and Kylee's cabin up by Sundance to find one!

We all got dressed up warm and headed out! Finding trees is way harder then you would think.. So after about 15 minutes of looking the boys wanted to head up higher on the mountain. I was wearing high heeled booties and Kylee and I were both cold so we sat in the truck talking about girl stuff until the boys got back.

The boys were definitely troopers, it took them another hour and fifteen minutes ish before we saw them with trees over there shoulders coming down them mountain! And then definitely found winners :)

We hope to continue this tradition forever!!

December According to my iPhone

We had SUCH a good December with things liiiike: chopping down our own christmas tree, making treats, buying and endlessly wrapping gifts, multiple trips to Temple Square, Weddings, babies being born, getting fired from my job and SKIING!  But we are definitely ready for a new year of fun together!
